Police have warned travellers against using mushika shika as they risk being robbed.
This comes as several reports of robbery in which people board pirate taxis and get robbed along the way.
In a statement on their official Twitter handle, police said they had received reports of cases that occurred along Cork Road, Avondale, Clifford Avenue in Kamfinsa, Alpes Road near Groombridge Shops and Willowvale Road.
“The complainants were offered lifts by the suspects who pretended to be genuine pirate taxi operators, before they were robbed along the way.
“The vehicles used by the suspects include a Toyota IST vehicle registration number ADG 3163, Toyota Wish vehicle registration number AFE 7248 and Toyota Mark X vehicle, registration number AFX 5286. Investigations are in progress,” police said.
