
Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) president Nqobile Magwizi has been appointed to a prestigious position within FIFA.
Magwizi will serve as a member of FIFA’s Commercial and Marketing Advisory Committee for the 2025–2029 term.
The committee plays a vital role in shaping FIFA’s commercial direction, advising on strategies to boost football’s global market value, reviewing existing initiatives, and supporting member associations in their commercial development efforts.

The appointment marks a major milestone for Magwizi, who took over the ZIFA presidency less than a year ago.
Adding to Zimbabwe’s growing presence in international football administration, Stanley Nyachowe has also been named to FIFA’s Football Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Committee.
The Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) confirmed both appointments on Wednesday.
