Ngezi Platinum Stars has parted ways with exciting midfielder Denver Mukamba, who found it difficult to get game time at the Mhondoro-based side.
Mukamba is a darling of Dynamos fans, he brought smiles and jubilation to the Glamour Boys during his stint at the Harare giants but has since earned himself a bad boy tag as he enjoys controversy.
At one point, he was loaned to CAPS United under the guidance of Loyd Chitembwe, who is regarded as one of the strictest coaches around but Mukamba decided to return to his parent club, Dynamos.
Mukamba was voted soccer star of the year during Valinos tenure with the Warriors and Mukamba was named captain ahead of many other stars, including Knowledge Musona, a clear testimony that he is a superstar.
Unfortunately, the superstar mentality has sunk into his head.
There is a time when he spent without a team, later joining Chapungu FC with his manager Gibson Mahachi believing the move was going to turn his fortunes around.
Indeed, the Air Force managed to change his fortunes, a development that made Ngezi Platinum sign him.
But his demise started when his god father, Rodwell Dhlakama left for ZPC Kariba and Takesure Chiragwi took over.
Chiragwi did not seem happy with Mukamba but, however Mukamba got some hope when former Warriors captain Benjani Mwaruwari took over but he didn’t last.
Chiragwi took over again and the nightmare for Mundikumbuke, as his supporters used to call him, persisted as he failed to make it in the match day squad for five consecutive match days.
As the teams are preparing for the 2023 season, Ngezi has axed the former warriors’ Captain.
The big question now is can Dynamos reunite with Mundikumbuke?
If given a chance can he brings back the glory days?
