
The Miss Universe Zimbabwe Organisation has entered a new leadership phase following the appointment of Danya Kabwebwe as Board Chairperson, in a move aimed at strengthening governance and repositioning the pageantry body on the global stage.
In a statement, the organisation said the newly constituted leadership reflects a blend of business expertise, creativity and strategic oversight expected to drive transformation and growth.
“At the helm is Board Chairperson Madame Danya Kabwebwe, whose distinguished leadership in business and energy brings a strong foundation of vision, innovation, and strategic direction,” the organisation said.

Supporting Kabwebwe is Board Advisor Zodwa Mkandla, alongside board members Apphia Musavengana, Tendai K. Zhou, Tafadzwa Zimoyo, D. Marandure, Brooke B. Jackson and Joshua Taderera.
The board will work closely with the executive leadership led by Chief Executive Officer Tendai Hunda and Patience Lusengo, who oversees the Miss World and Miss International portfolios.
According to the organisation, the leadership structure is anchored on inclusivity, innovation and national pride, with a renewed focus on empowering young women, fostering leadership development and elevating Zimbabwe’s presence within international pageantry.
“This unified team reflects a shared vision of inclusivity, innovation, and national pride, positioning the organisation for sustainable success and greater international impact,” the statement said.
The organisation extended congratulations to the incoming board, expressing confidence that the new leadership will steer Miss Universe Zimbabwe into a new era of growth and international visibility.
