Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training Minister Tino Machakaire has come out swinging against a wave of online media reports detailing his personal life, dismissing the allegations as "misinformed" and "misleading."
The Minister’s rebuttal follows several reports from online outlets which published claims regarding his political trajectory and personal background. Taking to social media to set the record straight, Machakaire emphasized that public scrutiny should remain focused on his professional performance rather than speculative private matters.
“You have no personal knowledge of my life and your assertions are grossly misinformed,” Machakaire stated. “As a public office bearer, I am accountable for my work, my conduct, and the results I deliver—not for speculative narratives about my personal life.”

In his response, Machakaire was quick to quell any rumors of political friction, reaffirming his absolute allegiance to the ruling party and the Presidency.
“No amount of mudslinging will ever separate me from my President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, and my Party, ZANU PF,” he wrote. “My loyalty remains firm and unwavering. I fully support the progressive steps towards strengthening governance and advancing our national development agenda towards Vision 2030.”
The Minister recently found himself at the center of a viral debate after urging Zimbabwean youth to prioritize entrepreneurship over a reliance on government contracts. His assertion that he has never been awarded a government tender sparked a polarized reaction online.
