PSL to impose heavy sanctions after Hardrock vs Dynamos match is abandoned

 

The Premier Soccer League has confirmed that the Castle Lager Premiership match between Hardrock FC and Dynamos FC at Chahwanda Stadium was abandoned on Sunday, 24 May 2026.

In a statement, PSL communications and media liaison officer Kudzai Bare said disciplinary action will follow once investigations are complete, with those responsible for any misconduct set to face the “full extent” of the league’s prescribed penalties.

“The Premier Soccer League wishes to advise its stakeholders that the Castle Lager PSL match between Hardrock FC and Dynamos FC played at Chahwanda Stadium on Sunday, 24 May 2026, was abandoned,” Bare said.

He added that the league is awaiting official match reports from referees and other officials to establish what transpired during the fixture.

Both clubs — Hardrock FC and Dynamos FC — will also be required to submit written reports detailing their accounts of the incident.

Bare emphasised that the PSL Castle Lager Premier Soccer League strongly condemns any form of misconduct at its matches, warning that offenders will face strict sanctions in line with league regulations.

“No further statement will be issued until all relevant match reports are received,” he said, noting that the matter remains under review.
