Chingwere FC head coach Day Gutu is confident his side will overcome Harare City when the two teams clash in the Super 8 semi-final at Pfupajena Stadium on Saturday.
Gutu believes Harare City should expect an even tougher encounter than their previous meetings, insisting that Chingwere have what it takes to find the back of the net more often than they did in their last two encounters.
“They should know they will be scored more goals than the last two times we defeated them,” said Gutu.
The two clubs have each collected three points from their previous two meetings, with the victories coming in different circumstances.
When Chingwere travelled to Callies Stadium, the home of Harare City, they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat. However, Harare City later travelled to Pfupajena Stadium, where Chingwere secured a convincing 2-0 victory.
The two sides will now meet again, this time with a place in the Super 8 final at stake.

Despite Chingwere's position behind Harare City on the league table, Gutu believes the cup competition provides his side with an opportunity to claim silverware.
“We can't lose the league trophy and the cup trophy as well. Never. Harare City will be knocked out of the tournament,” Gutu said.
Gutu, who joined Chingwere midway through the season, is drawing confidence from his previous success against Harare City. He insists Saturday's encounter will produce another positive result for his team.
“We will win. It's obvious and they know that. I joined Chingwere during the mid-season, but I managed to win 2-0, and they should expect more in the cup game,” he said.
Chingwere currently sit third on the league table and have already secured silverware this season, according to Gutu. However, their position below second-placed Harare City has added further motivation ahead of Saturday's semi-final.
“We are third on the log table and we have silverware, but them being second is another reason why we want to defeat them,” he added.
