Reggae still alive riddim, which features legend Luciano and multi-award-winning Zim reggae artist, Ras Caleb, is making waves on various music platforms on social media.
The riddim was produced by renowned Jamaican producer Conroy Smith, who believes that reggae music is still alive.
Indeed, music is a universal language which speaks to everyone that is the other reason why Smith worked with Ras Caleb on this riddim.
“Ras Caleb is a strong influence in the music fraternity of Zimbabwe and so, when I was introduced to him and his music, I realised that he was a reggae musician that had a large fan base in Zimbabwe.
“The songs he was singing were aligned with the vision I had in mind, whilst working on the reggae still alive album. As such, I invited him to work on the project and he gracefully accepted the offer,” Smith said.
Smith was also charmed by Ras Caleb’s work ethic.
“It was easy working with him, as he has a good work ethic and great personality and his profound love for reggae music was very inspirational to me and the team.
“Everything just fit perfectly together. Working with him transcended borders, it was just the team working with a reggae artist, despite him coming from Africa. It was just natural as a reggae producer working with him,” added Smith.
