A Harare man says his trip into town to collect his outstanding earnings from his former employer turned into a nightmare as he was sodomized, forced to jerk off another man and locked overnight in an office.
Tinashe Maduza, 34, and Makosa Mazhilikawo, 53, both of New Craneborne and Ashley Kundau Svondo, 25, of Kambuzuma were at the Harare Magistrates' Court charged with robbery and aggravated indecent assault.
The State alleges that, on March 13, 2023, around 15:00 hours Maduza who is the complainant's former employer lured the complainant to town on the pretext that he wanted to pay him his outstanding US$500.
Maduza instructed the complainant to meet with Mazhilikawo at Joina City. Mazhilikawo arrived in unregistered silver Toyota Corolla and together with the complainant waited for Maduza. Around 19:00 hours Maduza told them to meet with him at a bus stop along Rotten Row.
From there Maduza drove into the Kopje area and parked on the side of the road. Maduza produced a pistol and pointed it to the complainant who was in the back seat with Mazhilikawo and demanded that the complainant surrender his Samsung A23 and national identity card.
Mazhilikawo instructed the complainant to lie on the back seat and lowered his track bottom to knee level and applied lubricants on the complainant's anus before sodomizing the complainant without protection.
After the act, Mazhilikawo held complainant's hands from behind and Maduza who was still holding the firearm ordered the complainant to touch his penis until he ejaculated.
Mazhilikawo then drove to Maduza's Graceland offices in Kambuzuma with Maduza pointing the gun at the complainant.
Mazhilikawo and Maduza instructed Svondo to lock the complainant in an office where he remained for more than ten hours.
On March 14, 2023 at around 06:00 hours, Svondo unlocked the office and released the complainant.
On the same day the complainant made a police report at ZRP Kopje and was referred to Parirenyatwa Hospital for medical examination.
On March 20 Maduza amd Mazhilikawo were arrested and a P-BERETA 9mm pistol with an empty magazine was recovered at Maduza's house.
Magistrate Stanford Mambanje who presided over the matter remanded the trio to April 27 and advised them to apply for bail at the High Court.
