Dynamos fans showered Denver Mukamba with love in a fashionable way at National Sports Stadium over the weekend.
Mukamba was introduced as a second-half substitute, and the moment he rose from the bench to go for warm-up, fans whistled in a jovial way.
It seems hundreds had come to watch the former warrior who is well known for his football skills which always leave people mesmerised.
On Sunday Mukamba did not do much but every time he touched the ball fans could be heard making loud cheers.
After the match he went for the “Sunday offering” a tradition by Dembare fans who show appreciation to their players by giving them money from the pockets.
“We love Denver, he is our son and Dembare is his home. We should appreciate him because we all know that he is one of the football magicians we have in this country,” said Memory Chaunza a staunch Dembare fan.
Another fan, Takura Mutero, said that he came to the stadium to specifically watch Mukamba play.
“Mukamba is a good signing and I am here because I wanted to watch him and by winning, the team has motivated me to come to the stadium again next week,” Mutero said.
Another Dynamos fan Tinashe Chakadza was on cloud nine, showering praises to Dembare and Mukamba.
“Mukamba is a great player. I have watched him since our days at Mukai High School in Highfields he has changed much, but he still has the skill and I believe that he is a football magician.
“Coach Herbert Maruwa is extremely doing well, I think we will start witnessing huge numbers coming to watch Dembare.
Dynamos coach Maruwa was pleased with the turn out and encouraged fans to continue coming to rally behind Chazunguza.
