Dam View to host cake exhibition, tasting

Chitungwiza entertainment joint, Damview, will on Easter Sunday host the annual cake exhibition and tasting, an event which is expected to attract hundreds of visitors.

Easter Sunday falls on April 9.

Event coordinator, Mutsawashe Masvodza, said this will be a family event where fathers, mothers and their children can come together bearing in mind that schoolchildren are on vacation.

“Damview, on the shores of the Prince Edward Dam near Chikwanha Shopping Centre, offers a spacious and very friendly environment you will never regret having visited.

“We are inviting all those who are into cakes to bring their stuff. We expect over 300 different cakes to be on show. There will also be cake slices for tasting and sale.

“It will also be an opportunity for people to have a look at the cakes on offer and even place orders for their weddings and other special events,” she said.

Masvodza said they are currently talking to a number of sponsors for the Easter event.

The last event saw over 40 cakes being exhibited and this year the organisers say the event should be bigger and better.
