Mwonzora's delimitation challenge case set for May 8

The Constitutional Court has today set May 8 as the date for the hearing of an application filed by MDC-T leader Douglas Mwonzora in which he argues that ZEC did not follow the Constitution in the delimitation process.

The case, in which Mwonzora is the first respondent and the MDC second, has the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe and Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister as defendants.

The Constitutional Court on Monday, April 17, sat to determine the case – Number CCZ20/23. Mwonzora and MDC are being represented by Trust Maanda.

Mwonzora’s argument is that during the delimitation process, ZEC failed to follow the constitution.
