“We have on behalf of Transform Zimbabwe political party leader Jacob Ngarivhume, filed a notice of appeal against both his conviction and sentence. Our lawyer @dnmlaw2011 (Costa Donsah) together with Professor Lovemore Madhuku argued that Harare Magistrate Feresi Chakanyuka grossly misdirected herself and erred in convicting Ngarivhume of incitement to commit public violence as defined in section 187(1)(b) as read with section 36(1)(a) of the Criminal Law (Codification & Reform) Act,” posted ZLHR
Ngarivhume was recently slapped with a four-year jail term with one year suspended for organising and leading a July 2020 protest against corruption.
