Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube is one of the new players who made it into the Zanu PF Central Committee.
“The elections were conducted smoothly with no reports of violence. We had hitches here and there in terms of logistics, but those were attended to timeously,” said Zanu PF National Political Commissar Mike Bimha as he announced results this afternoon.
Other new entrants are Yeukai Simbanegavi, Munyaradzi Kashambe, Jenfan Muswere and Mike Chimombe.
Members of the old guard that managed to hold onto their turf incluce Obert Mpofu, Mike Bimha, Christopher Mutsvangwa, Lovemore Matuke, Sydney Sekeramai, Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, Ednah Madzongwe, Mable Chinomona, Tsitsi Muzenda, Jorum Gumbo, Tshinga Dube and Patrick Chinamasa.
Lewis Matutu returns back to the coveted circle.
Mike Bimha said that the new members would be installed at the congress after dissolution of the old committee, at which point current sitting members lost will be ejected.
