Innocent Chirimuuta, 30, residing in Eastview Phase 3, Harare, appeared before the Harare Magistrate's Courts accused of fraud.
Sometime during the month of January 2015, complainant in this matter, Shingai Siraha, bought residential stand in Eastview Phase 3, from the late Morgen Matimati for US$3 500 and an affidavit was written.
In May 2018, Chirimuuta and his accomplice, Joseph Matimati who is still at large went to one Trueman Dzimiri who was looking for a residential stand to buy in Eastview.
Chirimuuta and Matimati then sold the said residential stand to Dzimiri for US$4 000.
On February 14, 2023, Siraha went to his residential stand with the intention of building a house only to discover that his stand had been sold to Dzimiri.
On 8 May 2023, Siraha made a report to the police leading to Chirimuuta's arrest.
Chirimuuta was ordered to deposit US$40 as bail.
