The Zimbabwe Republic Police has released the names of the people who died in the two fatal road traffic accidents in Chipinge and Mwenezi.
In a statement police said the three people who died at the seven kilometre peg along Eastern Border Road, Chipinge on November 13 are Troy Nyangombe, 20 and Rutendo Chikwanda, 20, both of Gaza, Chipinge, as well as
Joyline Parrafin, 18, of Medium Density, Chipinge.
The six people killed when a Nissan caravan vehicle with eight passengers on board was involved in a head on collision with a Mercedes Benz truck along Masvingo Beitbridge Road have been identified as Kamukono Musaida, 44, of Chimanimani,
Blessing Rambiwa ,40, Jesina Masimba, 35 and Pellagia Manase, 53, all of Chiredzi.
Two deceased people remain unnamed as the bodies have not yet been identified by their next of kin.
Police stats indicate that around 2000 people die on Zimbabwe Road annually with driver error cited as the biggest cause of crashes.
