A 28-year-old Harare man lost US$3 300 cash, medicine and a cellphone to three unknown suspects in Harare CBD on Tuesday.
Police in a statement on X, warned the public against giving strangers information regarding their valuables and financial status.
“The complainant had approached the suspects at the intersection of Jason Moyo and Chinhoyi Streets, seeking assistance to locate a pharmacy where he could buy the medicine. The suspects later attacked the complainant after showing him the pharmacy,” police said.
In Bulawayo, 7 illegal miners were arrested on Tuesday for conducting mining activities at the National University of Science and Technology Campus, which led to the recovery of three sacks of gold ore.
Again in Bulawayo, Azaria Dube, 26, was found dead with a stab wound on the back, thigh and chest on Wednesday near a night club at Emasimini Complex, Cowdray Park.
Dube was allegedly last seen being attacked by suspected artisanal miners following a dispute over a lady of the night.
Police in Ndali are investigating a case of murder in which Martha Hlatwayo, 38, died on Wednesday while admitted at a hospital in Checheche after being struck with a log on the head by her husband, Jairos Mundikudze following a domestic dispute on November 4 at Mpama Village, Chiredzi.
The police has since arrested the suspect.
