Citizens Coalition for Change national spokesperson, Promise Mkwananzi has dismissed rumours of his removal from the post as uncalled for, false and unfounded.
This comes following a post on an account under the name of disputed CCC secretary-general, Sengezo Tshabangu, purporting that Mkwananzi contacted Tshabangu this morning after he had been removed from his post.
He also reportedly complained about Chamisa’s leadership style.
In a statement, Mkwananzi dismissed the post, adding that he has never called Tshabangu and has not been removed from his position.
Mkwananzi said he continues to be a loyal servant of the party and the president Nelson Chamisa.
“I remain loyal to the struggle and I submit myself fully, without any equivocation to the able leadership and guidance of our president Advocate Nelson Chamisa and the CCC party,” Mkwananzi posted on X.
Mkwananzi further asserted that his loyalty to Chamisa and the party is not based on holding a position rather on, “the value proposition and the disposition of prosecuting a just and legitimate struggle for the total liberation and ultimate emancipation of all our people,” Mkwananzi added.
This development follows a string of allegations of collusion between Tshabangu and senior CCC officials, including Tendai Biti, Charlton Hwende and Welshman Ncube among others in the ongoing recall saga.
