Warriors’ fans say keep Brito or bring Mangombe

Following Baltemar Brito's departure as interim coach, Zimbabwean football fans are united in their call to either retain him or appoint Genesis Mangombe.

No other names are in the running for the fans, it seems, as they consider continuity and passion key to success.

"It's not just about filling a vacancy," explains Emmanuel Mlambo, a passionate supporter.

"We need someone who understands the team, someone who can reignite the fire the Warriors are known for. Either bring back Brito or give Mangombe his chance!"

Mangombe, Brito's assistant, isn't a new face to the Warriors. Fans like Tendai Moyo praise his "quiet strategy" and tactical acumen, evident in the team's recent performance in Rwanda.

"He doesn't need time to adjust," Moyo argues.

"He knows the boys, he knows the system, he can hit the ground running," Moyo said

For Dynamos fans like Martha Chihuri, Mangombe represents a potential return to glory. She points to his recent triumph in the Chibuku Super Cup, the first trophy for the club in nearly a decade.

"He's a leader, a proven winner," Chihuri declares. "His passion is infectious, he'll make the Warriors roar again!"

Even fans of rival teams, like Caps United's Tafadzwa Chipfumbo, acknowledge Mangombe's tactical flexibility.

"He's not afraid to adapt," Chipfumbo admits. "He's like a chameleon, changing strategies to keep opponents guessing. That's the kind of coach we need!"
