BREAKING: Trapped Redwing miners alive, brought to the surface

All the 15 miners who were trapped underground following the collapse of a shaft at Redwing Mine in Penhalonga, Manicaland Province have been brought to the surface alive as rescue operations continuedat the mine.

All the 15 miners were said to be alive as there was ventilation in the shaft. The rescued miners have been named as Tatenda Gumbo, Kudakwashe Mucharwa, Simbarashe Siziba, Godson Mandimutsa, Owen Jaison, Maxwell Matsangomba, Joseph Sithole and Promise Gumbo

Akim Tarambira, Conrad Tsiga, Brian Mucharwa, Kodzana Dzina, Douglas Mhlanga, Robson Magama and Believe Mutema complete the list of rescued miners.

Rescue operations, which were coordinated by the Mines and Mining Development Ministry and that of Local Government also roped in experts from Freda Rebecca Mine in Bindura.
