A man, who allegedly fatally assaulted another, has been denied bail.
Bavid Nene, 31, of Hatcliffe extension, Harare, appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi facing murder allegations.
The State through prosecutor Thomas Chanakira, alleges that on December 1, 2023, at around 0100 hours in Hatclife along 9 Street close to 1st Street Hatcliffe, Nene chased the now-deceased, Devoted Chimufombo, who was allegedly with his two lovers and caught him.
The State alleges that Nene assaulted Chimufombo with a sharp object and a catapult all over his body and he sustained a deep cut on the back of his knee.
Chimufombo tried to run away from Nene but failed as he was overpowered. He then started to bleed all along from 9th Street until he died at a maize field behind house number 413-29th Street.
