A man who fatally stabbed another in an altercation, has been arraigned before the courts.
Simon Manhango, 33, appeared before the Harare Magistrates' Courts charged with murder.
Mangango will appear in court on February 20.
The State alleges that on December 26, 2023, at around 2300 hours, the now-deceased, Regis Mbayago, 32, was drinking beer with his friends at Maka Shebeen, opposite Block 2, Nenyere Flats, Mbare, Harare.
It is alleged that Mbayago and Manhango had an altercation over an unknown issue and they went out of the shebeen.
The court heard that Manhango stabbed Mbayago once with a knife and ran away.
He sustained a deep wound underneath his right armpit.
People tried to stop the bleeding king and carried him and put him on a bed, but he eventually succumbed to the injuries.
On January 5, 2024, a post mortem which was done at the hospital concluded that the cause of death was due to 2500ml hemothorax, right lung laceration, perforating wound in right hemothorax.
Investigations were done, leading to Manhango's arrest.
