Zim investment firm guns for New York markets

Local financial services firm, Bard Santner, has expanded its reach with a new branch in New York City’s financial district, a move expected to benefit Zimbabwe’s economy by facilitating international investment opportunities.

This comes on the heels of their successful marketing efforts for Zimbabwe’s investment potential in London, where they worked with companies listed on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange.

“Going to the London Stock Exchange opened doors for partnerships with global firms,” said Bard Santner CEO, Dr. Senzwani Sikhosana. “These platforms helped showcase Zimbabwe’s economic potential, and there’s now significant interest from international investors.”

Bard Santner is committed to attracting foreign capital by promoting the local economy to international markets. "The bigger goal is raising capital for the Sadc region, including Zimbabwe,” Dr. Sikhosana explained. “Investors are eager to invest here, but information about opportunities is often fragmented. By establishing a presence in New York, we aim to bridge this gap.”

This innovative firm also embraced the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe’s gold coins by launching gold-backed unit trusts, providing investors with diverse options for stabilising foreign exchange markets.
