A man, who allegedly went to the complainant’s house, took her out and raped her, has been denied bail.

Tapiwanashe Taendesa, 28, of Churu Farm, appeared before magistrate Stanford Mambanje, at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with rape.

The State alleges that on February 5, Taendesa entered the complainant’s room where she was sleeping with her siblings.

The complainant suddenly woke up and found Taendesa standing holding two knives and a hoe. There were three other men in the room.

Taendesa allegedly slapped the complainant on the cheek and pushed her out of the house.

He ordered her to follow him and they went to a nearby maize field.

Taendesa allegedly raped the complainant without protection.

He will appear in court on March 14 and was advised also apply for bail at the High Court.
