A famous businessman, economic empowerment proponent and music promoter has died after being shot in South Africa.
Ishmael Nkata, who resided in the Western Cape, was the founder of an entertainment joint called The Gardens Milnerton and a close friend to the late Genius Kadungure.
According to reports, he was gunned down on Friday. He hailed from Kwekwe and went to Silobela High School before moving to South Africa to establish his business empire.
Prior to meeting his demise, he had temporarily closed his major club following another fatality in which a client had been shot dead. And just before his own death, Nkata had taken to social media to inform his clientele base,
“Your summer weekends won’t be the same again! We have exciting outdoor entertainment experience in store for you all#GARDENAIRS.
At the time of going to press, investigations to ascertain the motive behind the shooting were still ongoing.
His death comes soon after that of yet another promoter, Fyay Kidah, who in September was shot down at his home. He was the promoter for NB Hotspot studios based in Cape Town.
Unconfirmed reports suggested that Fyah Kidah was gunned down as part of gang violence. His accomplices had also been gunned down two months before him.
