Chisuse was carrying a satchel, which contained a jacket, R1 500 and his Malawian passport.

It is alleged that as he was trying to find a safe place where he could spend the night since he wanted to proceed to South Africa the following morning.

Chisuse was approached by Matanda, who was in the company of two other accomplices  who are still at large.

The trio demanded to know where Chisuse was going, before he could answer them, Matanda pulled the complainant’s satchel from his back.

It is alleged that his two accomplices joined him and removed Chisuses pair of shoes.

Chisuse tried to resist and was stabbed with a screwdriver by one of the accused persons.
