Chibaya back at Timba-led CCC faction as organising secretary

Amos Chibaya, who together with Gift Ostallos Siziba, has been spearheading activities of the Blue movement, is back at the Jameson Timba- led faction of the Citizens’ Coalition for Change as organising secretary of an administrative bureau.

The bureau will take charge of operations as the political formation waits to transition to a new party.

This follows the resignation of former leader Nelson Chamisa, who is believed to be heading the Blue movement.

The CCC faction confirmed the development at a press conference held yesterday, adding that it follows the resolution of the CNA meeting which is the party’s top decision making body.

The party made appointments to the bureau, that include Chibaya as Organising secretary, Agency Gumbo as head of legal and parliamentary affairs among others, with Timba heading the bureau.

“It was resolved that whilst waiting to transition, the new party in parliament and local government shall pursue an agenda.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Jameson Zvidzai Timba is in charge of all party affairs through the administrative bureau. The party has no recognised position of acting president or a standing committee structure,” the communications bureau said in a statement.

The party also said that its organising bureau officials will continue engaging and mobilising the masses towards the formation of the new party.
