Eswatini Prince meets President Mngangagwa

Prince Lindani Nkomo of Eswatini, together with a special envoy, are in Harare to discuss with the government on cooperation in mining and agriculture between the two countries.

Prince Lindani said his father the King sent him to exchange notes on particular issues and with a special message to President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The Prince, Lindani son to one of Africa’s reigning monarchs, King Mswati III of Eswatini, is accompanied by a special envoy, Mbongeni Simelane and two ambassadors.

Briefing the media on the purpose of his visit at State House, the prince said that his kingdom is set to build its own parliament hence the visit planned to the New Parliament Building for a tour, while also acknowledging that his father had a special message for the president.

“We are also looking at setting up a parliament in the kingdom, and we are visiting the parliament here as well. The Zimbabwean Parliament is very new, and we are told it is the most beautiful parliament that has been built here in Africa, so we commend Zimbabwe for that,” Prince Lindani said.

The Parliament of Zimbabwe confirmed the prince’s visit and tour of the Parliament Building today.

“Today, Eswatini leader King Mswati III’s son, His Royal Highness Prince Lindani Nkosi toured the New Parliament Building in Mt Hampden. The new parliament building, with a combined floor area of 33,000 square meters, is a pivot point around which a new administrative capital will be built,” Parliament posted on X.
