Correctional Queens rise like phoenixes, aiming for the crown with renewed support

A wave of renewed hope washes over the Zimbabwe Women's Premier Soccer League. The Correctional Queens, once a formidable force, are poised for a glorious resurgence. Fuelled by a recent sponsorship extension from Red Spheres Finance, these Queens rise like phoenixes from the ashes, their eyes set firmly on the coveted championship crown.

The announcement of the partnership coincided with the unveiling of their dazzling new kit, a vibrant symbol of their reinvigoration. This financial commitment from Red Spheres Finance acts as a shimmering elixir, infusing the Queens with the lifeblood they need to dominate the pitch.  Desmond Ali, the Queens’ managing director, hails the sponsorship as a “lifeline”, a testament to its transformative power for their training and overall performance.

Echoing this sentiment is coach, Choice Dambudza, a seasoned leader with a steely glint in his eye. He speaks of a team reborn, a force meticulously honed for the upcoming season.  “We have blossomed since last season,” Dambudza declares. “Empowered by this unwavering support, we are in full bloom, ready to challenge for the championship and inscribe our names in the annals of league history.”

Red Spheres Finance recognises the power that lies beyond financial backing. Their vision extends to nurturing the roots of a robust national team.  Mavis Gumbo, the esteemed chairperson of the Correctional Queens, eloquently articulates this shared philosophy. “We believe that a flourishing national team springs from thriving clubs,” she proclaims. “By investing in the fertile soil of our clubs, we cultivate a national team that will stand tall and proud on the international stage.”

The Correctional Queens’ quest for glory is further bolstered by the arrival of exciting new talent.  Former Mighty Warriors goalkeeper Manyara Mandara, a seasoned warrior herself, brings a wealth of experience. Joining her are Hazvinei Dhlakama, Ashley Mutonga, and the electrifying Zambian international Agnes Tumbare. These fresh faces, brimming with potential, add vibrancy and depth to the already formidable squad.

With a financial fortress behind them, a brilliant strategist at the helm, and a dazzling array of new talent, the Correctional Queens are a force to be reckoned with. Their unwavering determination and strategic acquisitions paint a compelling picture – a team ready to rewrite history and claim their rightful place as champions.  As the league ignites on the 13th of this month, all eyes will be on the Queens to see if they can transform their ambition into a golden reality
