ZWSL announce season kick-off date

The Zimbabwe Women’s Soccer League has announced the official date for the commencement of the 2024 season.

In a letter written to all ZWSL club chairpersons, interim chairperson Theresa Maguraushe said the games are kicking off on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

“We are delighted to announce the official start date for the 2024 ZWSL season, which will be Saturday, May 11th, 2024.

“We are confident that this delay has allowed clubs ample time to finalise preparations and ensure a high-quality competition for players, fans, and stakeholders alike.”

She encouraged all clubs to utilise the remaining time to finalise training schedules, team rosters and any other necessary preparation for the upcoming season.

“We look forward to witnessing a captivating and competitive ZWSL season. We are confident that the dedication of our clubs, players and supporters will make this season a resounding success,” said Maguraushe.

The ZWSL thanked all clubs for the dedication and commitment towards achieving Fifa compliance standards.
