Following the overwhelming response to his album launch at Sherwood Golf Club on April 30, the son of the late legend, Bob “The Headmaster” Nyabinde, Agga and his 2 Nice Band has announced a change in venue to accommodate the high demand for tickets.
The event, which was initially set to take place at Sherwood Golf Club, will now take place at the 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale.
The move underscores Nyabinde’s growing popularity and the excitement surrounding his new album.
In an interview with Zim Now, Nyabinde thanked his partners for the support they are giving him for the success of his album launch.
“Due to excessive demand on our advance tickets, note that the Honai album launch is now at 7 Arts Theatre (Avondale). To our partners, Sherwood Golf Club, Premier Gifts, The Legacy Car Rentals, TASIM Networks, NYARUE Resources, we thank you for supporting AGGA NYABINDE & 2 NICE BAND.”
The daughter of the late Jazz legend Dr Oliver Mtukudzi, Selmor, will be at the event together with other supporting artistes Victor Kunonga, Mbeu, Tariro Ne Gitare, Adrian, Vakuru VeAfrica and Samasamba.
The album Honai carries nine tracks with brand new collaborations, social commentary and dance tunes.
The event will be a celebration of the younger Nyabinde’s talents and his dedication to continuing with his father’s work.
To push the album, the Nyabindes are holding live shows where they are playing the tracks on the album.
On Wednesday, they performed at Cosmopolitan Restaurant and Bar in the capital and date Cresta Oasis Hotel on Friday.
