A man, who allegedly claimed to be an employment agent and called the complainant who was looking for a job before raping her, has been taken to court.
Tapiwa Munyanyi, 25, of Hatfield, appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with rape.
He was remanded in custody.
The complainant in this matter is a 22-year-old woman.
The State alleges that on May 3, in Epworth, the complainant was called by Munyanyi, who introduced himself as an employment agent.
Munyanyi allegedly told the complainant to meet him at Chiremba shops and took her to his house where he allegedly raped the complainant.
The complainant made a police report, leading to Munyanyi’s arrest.
