A man from Warren Park, Harare, who allegedly raped his churchmate and neighbour, has been arraigned before the courts.
Rodney Chivese, 30, of Warren Park 1, appeared before magistrate Standford Mambanje charged with rape.
He was granted US$100 bail and will appear in court on May 30, for a possible trial.
The complainant in this matter is a 34-year-old woman.
The State alleges that Chivese and the complainant are neighbours and churchmates.
It is alleged that sometime this year, Chivese took the complainant to his place of residence.
The court heard that he then pushed her into his bedroom on his bed and raped her.
