Former Chegutu West legislator, Dexter Nduna was appointed Zanu PF party chairperson of the resource mobilisation and revenue generation committee by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The announcement was made at the party’s Central Committee meeting, with party spokesperson, Christopher Mutsvangwa confirming the appointment, which will enable the former legislator to canvas resources for the party in a number of sectors such as agriculture, mining and other business enterprises across the country’s provinces.
“Nduna was appointed by Mnangagwa during last week’s central committee meeting. He is the chairperson of the resource mobilisation and revenue generation committee,” Mutsvangwa said.
Nduna himself was grateful for the appointment noting that he looks to produce results.
“I am happy with the appointment, and I am now getting back to business because our President Cde Mnangagwa wants results as soon as possible. My team and I will be touring each province and see the best way forward we can mobilise for the party,” he said.
The appointment comes also as Nduna had earlier last year donated 60 heifers and five bills to the President, as a token of appreciation for his excellent leadership, that led to better living and working conditions for mine workers in Chegutu.
Nduna said they were targeting mining, agriculture and some business enterprises as they seek to mobilise funds for the party.
The former Chegutu West MP last year donated 60 heifers and five bulls to Mnangagwa, praising him for being an astute leader.
