Information Perm Sec Nick Mangwana has refuted activist Hopewell Chin’ono’s claims that Zimbabwe sent 60 officials to accompany its 7 athletes at the Paris Olympics.
On his X handle Mangwana gave specifics of the delegation.

Mangwana also dismissed Chin’ono’s claims that Vice President Chiwenga and his wife as wella s Sports Minister Kirsty Coventry were in Paris as part of the Team Zimbabwe delegation.
“The Minister is a member of IOC so she is there in that role. The VP is there for the official opening and other business and is not part of the Olympics Delegation,” Mangwana added.
Mangwana said VP Chiwenga who travelled to Paris on a private chartered jet was there for the official opening and the business meetings and events that have already taken place.
