Two promising footballers from Shabani Mine FC, Arthur Sibanda and Timukudzei Njelele, are on the brink of earning their first call-ups to Zimbabwe's Under-23 national team. The dynamic duo has consistently impressed in the country's Division 1 league, catching the eye of national selectors with their standout performances.

Sibanda and Njelele are products of the renowned Pams Academy, a prestigious youth football development program run by Brighton "Coach Pams" Pamhirwa. Under his expert guidance, both players have flourished at Shabani Mine FC, a club once regarded as a powerhouse in Zimbabwean football, known for its rich history and passionate fan base.

Coach Pams, who now manages Shabani Mine FC, has a long-standing reputation for developing top-tier talent. Several of his academy graduates have gone on to join major clubs in Zimbabwe, including Thubelihle Jubani (Manica Diamond), Shelly Mafukidze (FC Platinum), and Menford Mudzimu (Triangle FC). Other notable players such as Lovemore Nganga and Tinashe Ruzive now represent Bikita Minerals, further cementing the academy’s reputation for producing high-caliber athletes.

"Their performances at the club have been absolutely fantastic, and I believe they are ready to join the Under-23 squad. They are fit, focused, and prepared to compete at the next level," Coach Pams stated, expressing full confidence in Sibanda and Njelele’s ability to step up to national duty.

As Shabani Mine FC strives to reclaim its former glory, these young players could be the driving force behind the club’s resurgence.

While awaiting potential Under-23 call-ups, Sibanda and Njelele have already proven they possess the skill, determination, and vision to excel both domestically and, in the future, on the international stage.
