A Harare man, Takudzwa Gadzira, has been arrested in connection with the murder of a rival suitor. The incident occurred in Southlea Park on Saturday, where Gadzira allegedly stabbed David Nyaudzeni with a butcher knife during a fight over a girlfriend.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police, Nyaudzeni was taken to a local clinic but was pronounced dead upon arrival. His body was subsequently transported to Sally Mugabe Hospital Mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
n a separate incident, police have issued a stern warning to bus and commuter omnibus conductors against opening vehicle doors while the vehicle is in motion. The warning follows a fatal accident that occurred along Nemakonde near Cornway College.
A 27-year-old bus conductor lost his life after opening the door of a moving bus to pick up a passenger. He fell onto the road and was tragically struck by the bus's rear wheels. The conductor sustained severe head injuries and was admitted to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
