The Zimbabwe Warriors are set to face their toughest test yet as they lock horns with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the final Group J match of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Despite both teams having already secured their spots in the 2025 AFCON finals, the match holds significant importance. A victory for Zimbabwe would not only see them top the group but also boost their FIFA rankings.

Warriors coach, Michael Nees, has expressed his team's determination to maintain their unbeaten run in the qualifiers. "We're not here for a holiday. We're here to compete and put on a good show for our fans," he said.

However, the Warriors will be without key players like Marshall Munetsi, who is sidelined due to a thigh injury. Nees is expected to rotate his squad, giving opportunities to players who have seen limited game time.

The German tactician is confident in his team's ability to match Cameroon's physicality and skill. "We've got good players, they're very skillful, maybe not as physical as the Cameroonians, but in football, you need a good mixture," he explained. "We're not scared, we can play football."

While the match promises to be a thrilling encounter, Nees remains cautious. "We want to get a result, but we must be cautious on other things," he said, hinting at the need to balance ambition with squad rotation.
