Two men died after being struck by lightning in separate incidents on the same day in Harare this week.
Leonard Matipano,33, died on the spot after he was struck by lightning while sowing maize seed in the field at an open space near Ridgeview, Belvedere, Harare this Tuesday.
On the same day Philip Chiundudzi, 43, died on admission at a local hospital after being struck by lightning while hiding from the rain in a shed at Habakkuk Church, Retreat Park, Waterfalls.
Prosper Chiundudzi, 27, who was with Philip Chiundudzi in the shelter and injured in the lightning strike was admitted at the same hospital and his condition is reported as serious.
Police confirmed both incidents.
