Warriors defender Jordan Zemura has caught the eye of Italian Serie A giants AS Roma. The 25-year-old Udinese left-back has been making waves with his impressive performances, and it seems Roma's scouts have taken notice.

According to Romapress, Zemura is being touted as a potential backup option for Roma's current left-back, Angelino. With Angelino having to feature in every game this season due to a lack of alternatives, Roma is on the hunt for a reliable deputy. And Zemura, with his impressive stats – one goal and two assists in 16 matches – has emerged as a prime candidate.

Under the watchful eye of Roma's technical director, Florent Ghisolfi, Zemura's progress has been closely monitored. The Warriors defender's value has been pegged at a whopping five million euros (US$5.1 million) by (link unavailable), a testament to his growing reputation.

This isn't the first time Zemura has been linked to a top Italian club. Last November, AC Milan was reportedly interested in securing his services, further evidence that the Zimbabwean international is on the rise.

Born in England to Zimbabwean parents, Zemura's football journey has taken him from the Queens Park Rangers Academy to stints with Charlton Athletic and Bournemouth. He even caught the attention of EPL giants Chelsea during his youth days. After four loyal years with Bournemouth, Zemura made the switch to Udinese in 2023, and it's clear that the move has paid dividends.

As Zemura's stock continues to soar, Warriors coach Michael Nees will undoubtedly be thrilled to have such a talented player in his ranks ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco. With Zemura's skills and experience, Zimbabwe's chances of making a deep run in the tournament just got a whole lot brighter.
