Scottland FC made their much-anticipated PSL debut, but their performance left fans questioning whether the team was ready for top-flight football.

Despite being highly hyped on social media before the match, Scottland struggled to live up to expectations in their opening game against fellow newcomers, Triangle FC.

The game started with both teams appearing cautious, and in the first 20 minutes, not a single shot on target was recorded. Fans were eager to see star player Khama Billiat in action, but their hopes were dashed when he was not even named among the substitutes.

The absence of the experienced attacker only added to the frustration of Scottland supporters, many of whom had been looking forward to his influence on the pitch.

As the game progressed, it became evident that Scottland lacked the spark that many had expected from them. Their play was slow, disjointed, and uninspiring, leading to a significant portion of the crowd—nearly 70%—throwing their support behind Triangle FC instead.

"If Scottland continues playing this way, it will be difficult for them in their next games," a concerned fan commented after the match. Another supporter echoed the same sentiment, stating, "Yes, we can say it is our first game, but their play was very disappointing compared to what was expected."

Despite their struggles, Scottland managed to secure a 1-0 victory, but it was far from convincing.

The only goal of the match came from an unfortunate own goal caused by a mix-up between Triangle's defender and goalkeeper. This fortuitous moment spared Scottland from embarrassment, but it did little to ease the growing doubts among their supporters.

Looking ahead, Scottland faces a much tougher challenge in their next match against Caps United.

Their lackluster performance has already emboldened their future opponents, with one Caps United fan boldly declaring, "We are not afraid of Scottland anymore.

"With the play we witnessed, Caps United will secure an easy win against them."
