The Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe handed over 30 Boer goats to youth clubs in Mashonaland Central Province to support youth empowerment and agricultural development.
The event was attended by Youth Empowerment Minister Tinoda Machakaire and Chinese Embassy Chargé d'Affaires Cheng Yan.
The donation, part of the embassy's "Youth Maker" program, aims to improve goat genetics and boost incomes for young farmers.
Boer goats fetch over US$100 on the market compared to US$30-50 for local breeds, potentially increasing annual earnings for youth-led projects.
With traditional job opportunities scarce, more Zimbabwean youths are turning to agricultural entrepreneurship as a sustainable livelihood.
The initiative strengthens bilateral ties while supporting economic growth at the grassroots level.
