Fastjet has announced its new Harare-Lusaka flights starting April 9, offering promotional one-way fares from $90, as it capitalizes on growing travel demand in Southern Africa.

This expansion comes alongside Fastjet's exploration of niche markets, including small-plane services to link under-served tourist routes like Victoria Falls-Kariba.

Fastjet's new Zambia route marks its third regional addition this year, following expanded flights to South Africa and Malawi.

Zimbabwe is revitalizing its aviation infrastructure with over $150 million invested in upgrading airports at Victoria Falls, Harare, and Bulawayo since 2022.

Industry analysts note the developments are helping Zimbabwe develop into a travel hub, with passenger traffic now at 80% of pre-pandemic levels.
