Police in Bulawayo have arrested Peserverance Manwele (33) in connection with theft of copper cables.
Manwele, who reportedly stole 20kg pieces of copper cables is said to have dug out the copper cables at Plot 16 Dunkik Farm in Pumula.
Meanwhile, the police in Mutare are investigating a case of infanticide following the discovery of a female infant dumped in the grass besides a railway line on December 23. The body was picked up near Zimta Mutare.
Police are appealing for anyone with information which might lead to the arrest of the suspect to report to any nearest police station.
Police are also investigating a murder case in which the body of Stanley Mpofu (28) was found with multiple stab wounds on December 23 at Chimwendo Compound, Battlefields.
