TelOne FC Eye Redemption Against MWOS

Telone FC Coach Herbert Maruwa is  confident  that his boys  will  bounce back when they travel to Norton on Saturday to face MWOs.

The WiFi Boys are eager to make amends after losing 1–0 to MWOs on 13 September last year. That narrow defeat  lingered in the minds of the TelOne squad, and the team is focused on reclaiming pride and points in the upcoming clash.

In their previous encounter on 10  May 2025, TelOne managed a draw against MWOS, showing that the two sides are closely matched. Despite this, the last defeat has added extra motivation for Maruwa’s side to turn the tables this time.

TelOne began the 2026 season on a sour note after a 2–1 home defeat to Dynamos , but Maruwa insists that his players are working hard in training to recover.

“We are working hard to bounce back from the defeat by Dynamos, and when we go there we must have a positive mindset so that we can collect those points,” said Maruwa.

The coach also highlighted the importance of mental preparation, recalling the drama of their last MWOS encounter, where TelOne had two players sent off and missed a penalty.

“We need to prepare ourselves mentally so that we don’t repeat what happened in the last match,” he said.
