TelOne president Oscah Nduwure has confirmed that the club is giving its full support to head coach Herbert “Jompano” Maruwa, despite the team failing to collect a win so far this season.
The "WiFi Boys" have had a tough start to the campaign, leading to concerns from fans about the team’s position on the log. However, the club’s leadership met yesterday to discuss the situation and decided to stick with their coach.
President Nduwure revealed that the executive held a meeting with Maruwa to understand why the team is struggling. During the talk, the coach pointed out that a high number of injuries to key players has made it very difficult to pick a winning team.

The president explained that these injuries are the main reason the club has not yet found its rhythm on the pitch.
"We held a meeting yesterday with Jompano where he raised some issues on some of the injured players," President Nduwure said. "This has resulted for the team to be where it is right now, but we understand the challenges the technical department is facing."
Despite the pressure, the TelOne executive believes that Maruwa is still the right man to lead the Gweru-based side. They are confident that once the injured players return to the squad, the results will start to change.
"As the executive, we are giving the coach our full support. We are not panicking because we know the potential of this team once everyone is fit," Nduwure added.
