
The Footballers Union of Zimbabwe (FUZ) has urged both CAPS United FC and player Wallace Magalane to respect their contractual obligations as it monitors the ongoing dispute between the two parties.
In a statement released on Monday, FUZ said it is closely following the matter and is seeking to establish the full facts before taking any further action.
"We are aware of the recent press media briefing by the club management on the issue and we will get full details from Mr. Magalane so as to establish the full context of these events," the union said.
FUZ emphasized the importance of adhering to football regulations and maintaining professionalism while the matter is being addressed.

"In the interim, we strongly urge both parties to strictly respect their existing contractual obligations and to remain guided by established football rules and regulations," the statement read.
The players' union also reminded CAPS United of the need to uphold contractual stability between clubs and professional footballers, describing it as a key principle within football's regulatory framework.
FUZ reaffirmed its commitment to protecting players' rights while ensuring that disputes are resolved fairly and within the law.
"The Footballers Union of Zimbabwe will remain committed to safeguarding the rights of the players and ensuring a fair, lawful, and professional resolution is reached consistently in our game," the union said.
