The Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe has resolved to hold all its National Conferences as per the Church’s calendar of events.

The AFM leadership earlier this week told congregants that the Youth Conference that was scheduled for April at Rufaro Conference Centre in Chartsworth, Masvingo in April had been postponed due to financial constraints.

Despite the earlier position, in another notice on Wednesday, AFM president Amon Madawo said the church will launch fundraising initiatives to ensure all National Conferences go ahead as scheduled.

“We are glad to advise that … following intensive engagements and arrangements made by the church leadership and its departments on the state of the church and … following discussions on sustainable fund-raising initiatives…

“The National Executive Board has reconsidered its decision and all National Conferences will go ahead as per the Church’s calendar of events,” said Madawo, adding that details on how the conferences and fundraising will proceed will be communicated by the National Management Committee and the relevant departments.

He encouraged all church members to participate in the fundraising initiatives as well as attend the conferences for spiritual fellowship.
