Man who killed drinking mate with a single blow denied bail

A Chishawasha Hills man who killed a man with only one blow after a misunderstanding has appeared in court.

Dhimba Dickson, 43, of Chishawasha Hills was before Harare Magistrates' Court accused of murder, contravening Section 47 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9.23.

The State, through Zebediah Bofu, alleges that, on April, 16 at Food Basket Supermarket Dhimba was drinking beer with his friends and the now deceased.

Dhimba and the now deceased fell into a disagreement at the same area which made him to become violent.

He hit the now deceased once on the chin with a clenched fist and the deceased fell on the ground instantly with his back facing upwards.

Dhimba was ordered to appear in court on May 2, 2023.

Mangosi told him to approach the High Court for bail because of the magnitude of his offence.
