Zim Now Writer
Matabeleland North Province politician, Sengezo Tshabangu, who has claimed to be the Citizens Coalition for Change interim secretary-general, has dismissed a letter – purportedly from his office - that has been doing the rounds on social media, giving modalities of the holding of an inaugural congress by the opposition party.
In an interview with Zim Now, Tshabangu said the communication in question is fake, promising to send this writer the correct position.
“That letter is fake. It did not come from my office. I am sending you the correct position shortly,” said Tshabangu.
This comes as Tshabangu wrote to the Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda, recalling 15 legislators and 17 councillors, alleging they had ceased to be members of the CCC.
Mudenda went on to notify the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission of vacancies in the constituencies to which the legislators had been elected.
CCC leader Nelson Chamisa ordered his MPs and councillors to disengage from the National Assembly and council respectively until a resolution had been found to the stand-off.
